“Audivision is a social impact initiative to empower the blind and low vision communities to become self-reliant. Such initiatives require extensive user research, groundwork for first hand problem analysis and leveraging advance technology like AI to solve it. To achieve these, you need right guidance, expertise, infrastructure, and funding support. That’s when we got to know about the SISFS scheme. We did some research on incubators who align with our social impact mission and IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre was our top choice and preference due to their work in this field. Team IIMU is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and cooperative. They are a great value add in terms of mentoring, providing right channels for networking and timely fund release. They are motivated to make their supported startups to succeed and make a meaningful impact. At the end of incubation period, we successfully released the android app. We went from 6K to 44K+ users across 121 countries. We were able to carry on R&D activities. Our app was highlighted by various reputed sites including Perkins school, American foundation for the blind and many more places.
